Hangar ’42 at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground and Airfield, Leicestershire – the newest events arena in the Midlands – is opening its doors on Sunday 12th February from 12-noon until 6pm to couples planning their wedding reception. The event, just two days before St Valentine’s Day, is being staged in conjunction with Luxury Venues Limited who specialise in providing a
one-stop-shop service for Asian weddings.
Paul Atkin, General Manager for Business Development at Bruntingthorpe, explains that Hangar ’42 has already successfully hosted a number of Asian wedding receptions. “When we opened Hangar ’42 a little over a year ago we designed the facility to accommodate a diverse range of events including gala dinners and Asian wedding receptions. The success of the first wedding reception prompted us to link up with Luxury Venues, who offer a complete service, and who have huge experience of the requirements of Asian families planning a wedding.
“To showcase both Hangar ’42 and Luxury Venues’ expertise we are opening the venue on Sunday 12th February. It will be set out for a typical Asian wedding reception so that those looking for a venue will be able to see exactly what the site can offer. Packages for wedding parties from 500 to 1,500 are on offer. All include Chivari chairs, 5-ft round tables and linen, catering and event security.
“Over the course of our facility open-day we’re looking forward to seeing anyone who has an interest in hosting a large Asian wedding when they will be able to see the fully-dressed venue.”
Hangar ’42 is set within a 10-acre estate adjacent to the Proving Ground and Airfield. It has its own vehicle entrance and parking for 400 vehicles. Up to 1,500 guests can be accommodated in the fully-heated 30,000 sq-ft venue with its specialist lighting, advanced sound systems, wi-fi and large air-conditioned entrance/reception area.
A recent extension has added a large ready-to-use kitchen for caterers, additional toilets and small private rooms that can be used as changing facilities. An organisers’ office within the main reception area includes a safe for valuables.
